Atlas Newsletter – May 2007
Atlas Around Town
Atlas has had a busy month! Following on from the success of April's London Book Fair, where Atlas exhibited its services to a range of visitors, the company has been in negotiations with various new clients and has already won an exciting contract to produce some lengthy technical datasheet translations for a local Metal Casting company.

Earlier this month, Atlas staff returned to the Earls Court venue as visitors to the Internet World exhibition, detailing the very latest strategies and developments in this constantly evolving medium. Atlas prides itself on remaining at the forefront of technological development and attending this type of event ensures the Atlas team remains up-to-date with key advances and fully informed about the wide range of products their clients use, offer or may benefit from.
Museums and Heritage Show
Atlas also made an appearance at the recent Museums and Heritage Show, where it exhibited on a stand located next to a medieval musician, who helped pull in the crowds with a mixture of authentic costume and delightful music. The show, which was held at Earls Court on 9 th and 10 th May, is one of the leading events of its kind in the industry and aims to bring together suppliers and operators in the museums, galleries and heritage visitor attractions sector to provide them with market opportunities, ideas and inspiration.

Atlas already provides translation and voiceover services to some of London's most highly regarded visitor attractions, including the British Museum, the V & A, the National Maritime Museum, the Imperial Museum and Tate London, and is keen to expand in this arena. According to company director, Clare Suttie, the exhibition was a great success on all fronts. Not only was Atlas able to attract plenty of prospective clients but, thanks to the relaxed atmosphere and friendly visitors, it proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience for all the Atlas staff!
Atlas's latest additions

Atlas is pleased to welcome two new members to its ever-expanding list of international recruits. These new team members come in the form of work placement students Maria, from Portugal and Farida from France.
Access Services Update
Over the past three months Atlas's drive to improve the accessibility of its services to all clients has seen it launch a redesigned website, offering improved access to the partially-sighted and hard of hearing and new brochures available on both CD and in Braille. This month, Atlas is happy to confirm it has been assigned an exciting new project working with Palantype for a London-based events company, which will be holding workshops for the hearing impaired towards the end of May.
