Woo Hoo! Atlas Translations have won the Community Spirit and Champion Award 2020 at the socially distant The Businesses Community awards!

The Business Community Award St Albans

The Business Community Virtual Awards 2020

The virtual awards ceremony was held online due to current government guidelines in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Business Community announced the award, commenting that not only are the team at Atlas Translations an absolute joy to work with, Atlas’ contributions to the local community and charity really do go above and beyond.

Random questions about translating recipes about a particular sort of chilli into German – not a problem. Coloquial business English into Hindi? They don’t even flinch! Keeping in touch with thousands of translators, across the world and making them part of the Atlas experience – always. Running fundraising projects at the heart of the community – absolutely!

Community Fundraising Projects

Did you know that as well as providing translation services, Atlas also run a bra bank at the St Albans office, where the community can recycle unwanted bras for the charity Against Breast Cancer? (Note that this is still operating during lockdown – just bag your bras up and pop them in through our large letterbox, marked for Atlas Translations).

Community fundraising doesn’t end there. Atlas Translations founder and director, Clare Suttie, is also the driving force behind a local yarn bomb project that raises thousands of pounds every year. The St Albans office co-ordinate donations of yarn and fundraising as part of the St Albans Postboxes yarnbomb initiative. In 2019, Atlas Translations and St Albans Postboxes raised an amazing £12,325.99 for local charities Earthworks, Small Acts of Kindness and Age Concern St Albans.

Outstanding Community Champion

Atlas Translations is proud to provide professional and bespoke customer service, whilst also raising thousands of pounds for charity. Atlas nurtures a willingness to share knowledge and support others – that’s what makes Atlas Translations stand out in this year’s awards.

Thank you The Businesses Community. We think this calls for a little celebration – virtually, of course – woo hoo!
