Exeter Chamber of Commerce

Atlas offers a very personal translation service to Devon and the South West!

Many, many years ago (well, in 1991) when we started, location was everything, so we had four offices dotted around the country. Couriers were regularly cursing us for having our London office tucked away down a pedestrian alley. Then the internet arrived. We could be based anywhere. So we chose St Albans as our main office. Obviously.

Having been involved since Day One, I’ve watched the way business is conducted change immeasurably. I am sure we were told that by now, we’d all be working from home, with no commuting. Well, that hasn’t happened. There are more people working from home, and at Atlas Translations our staff have an option to operate from home at least one day each week.

Another observation is that clients are looking for a more personal service, and that is good news for smaller translation agencies like Atlas Translations. We have always offered fast, friendly service, with a dedicated Project Manager who sees each project through from quote to delivery and sign off.

Clients also need some kind of measure of quality – after all, if you don’t speak German and you need a translation in German, you need to be reassured that someone who knows exactly what they are doing is handling your project. So as well as 28 years of experience, we have ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 17100 which is specifically for translation services. And you can find reviews of us on TrustPilot and Google.

And we can now offer a much more personal service to our clients in the South West, as we are now also operating from Exeter. We’ve even joined the Exeter Chamber of Commerce – so look out for us at some local events.
