Good start to the year 2023

Good Start to the Year 2023_Atlas Translations_Translation Agency_SME Business Awards

Last week was a pretty busy one here at Atlas Translations. It was off to a great start on Monday when we hosted our Supplier Open Day. Then on Thursday evening, Charlie and James attended the SME London Business Awards, where our director Clare Suttie was awarded Business Woman of the Year.

Another successful Supplier Open Day!

Being a translation agency, Atlas Translations would not exist without its suppliers. On Monday, 23rd January, we had the first of our biannual open-day events in St. Albans. Working as a freelancer can sometimes limit the amount of in-person social interactions. Fortunately, Supplier Open Days allow us to meet and get to know our translators in a relaxed environment.

It was great to see how many people turned up! We had many interesting conversations about the translation industry and beyond. Time passed so quickly that before we knew it, it was time to say goodbye. In fact, we completely forgot to take a photo with everyone but we have at least these ones of Joanna, Charlie, Jim, and Clare working the room:

We hope that those of you who attended our meet up enjoyed it as much as we did. If you didn’t make it to our Supplier Open Day this time, keep an eye out for the next one in the summer!

Atlas Translations’ Director: Business Woman of the Year

Needless to say, we started 2023 with a bang. Atlas Translations and Clare Suttie were shortlisted for SME Business Awards in 3 categories – Employer of the Year, Business Woman of the Year, and Business Person of the Year. On Thursday night, the Gold Award in the Business Woman of the Year category went to Clare. This means she has gone through to the SME National Business Awards which will take place at the Wembley Stadium on Friday 1st December 2023. We couldn’t be more proud!

Congratulations, Clare!

Sadly, Clare couldn’t attend the event to receive the award in person, but true to form, Charlie and James dressed up to the nines for the occasion and were perfect Atlas Translations ambassadors.
