LRG / University of Westminster – Meet the Client Event

One of the favourite events we speak at is in March this year. Why not come along? Details below.

Meet the Client – including Atlas!
A joint LRG / University of Westminster event
Wed 20 March 5 – 8.30 pm
University of Westminster, 309 Regent Street, London

Nearest tube: Oxford Circus

A joint LRG/University of Westminster event for LRG members: £15; non-LRG: £25; Student: £5

Another in this series of very popular events which brings freelance translators and interpreters and translation and interpreting companies representatives together.

At this year’s client event, we meet Lindsay Bywood of Voice Script International, Louise Johnson of Language Recruitment Services, Andy Mann of Way with Words and Clare Suttie of Atlas Translations as the panel of speakers.

The panelists will talk about what they look for in a translator or interpreter, how they evaluate CVs, their relationship with their panel of freelance service providers, and the specialist skills they value. After short presentations, there will be an extended Q&A session during which participants will be able to engage the representatives on all aspects of the freelance contract.

This event is suitable for translators and interpreters at all levels: students, new entrants to the profession and experienced practitioners alike. Past events have been very informative and helpful in bringing work and service providers together.

Fyvie Hall is a large, comfortable venue, with full PA/AV facilities. Refreshments will be served at the start of the evening and during a mid-evening break.

The event is open to LRG, non-LRG members and to students. This event qualifies for 3 hours CPD. Please note: this event is supported by the National Networks for Translation and for Interpreting.

Costs to include refreshments.
