Atlas Translations – Who are we?

Team Update

At a busy translation agency like Atlas, there’s always something happening! I love this Mark E Smith quote: “If it’s me and yer granny on the bongos, it’s still The Fall”. That pretty much sums Atlas up. If it’s Clare Suttie and your gran (with access to 400 languages), it’s still Atlas Translations. We have had a couple of our project managers have babies recently, and the team has expanded, not unlike the project managers, pun intended. The pun is always intended. Our new team members are Carolina and James, who are covering Steffi and Fran’s maternity time, respectively.

A bit about Carolina…

Carolina cartoon

She graduated in European Studies and is currently studying a Master’s Degree in Translation. She originally joined the team as a work placement last year, but when maternity cover presented itself, she decided to stay and work as a project manager. She is one of the 3 here at Atlas to be a fan of Game of Thrones. Our manager Jim is a fan as well as new recruit James. You can read more about Carolina here.

A bit about James….

James studied French and Russian at university and we welcomed him into the fold in January. We were relieved to discover that he too can drink an endless amount of tea… almost challenging Clare as to who can drink the most – teacups at dawn – (Clare always triumphant, in case you wondered). Despite his Oxbridge education, the coffee machine baffles him. Read more about James here.

So what we have recently lost in Italian with Fran and Steffi on maternity leave, we have gained in Russian, French, Portuguese, Spanish, German and Emoji. And our excellent service continues.
